Sustainable Aviation Fuel (SAF)Rooted in Indonesia.
Built for the future.
PT Natural Bali Indonesia develops scalable land-use projects connecting resilient perennial agriculture, elite Pongamia planting material and future renewable feedstock markets.
A golden opportunity for Indonesia.
PT Natural Bali Indonesia brings together limited exclusive access to BPA Elite Pongamia genetics, suitable Indonesian land and identifiable demand pathways — creating a scalable platform to support climate goals, NDC implementation, degraded-land restoration, energy transition and rural livelihoods.
Practical project development with a long-term view.
PT Natural Bali Indonesia is an Indonesian project developer focused on resilient agriculture, productive land use and renewable-energy feedstocks.
Our role is to bring together land, planting material, field implementation, strategic partners and downstream pathways in a structure that can scale responsibly.
One crop platform can address several national priorities at once.
Indonesia is simultaneously pursuing energy transition, Paris Agreement goals, land restoration and stronger rural livelihoods. Elite Pongamia offers a non-food bioenergy pathway that can connect these agendas within one development platform.
Sustainable Aviation Fuel (SAF)Climate & NDC
A perennial tree platform that can support carbon sequestration, bioenergy development and Indonesia's broader climate commitments.
Degraded Land
Potential productive use of suitable degraded land through long-term tree-based agriculture and restoration-oriented land management.
Energy Security
Non-food oilseed feedstock for biodiesel and potential sustainable aviation fuel value chains.
Social & Rural Value
New local economic activity, plantation jobs, agroforestry integration and potential support for fuel-constrained local industries.
BPA Elite Pongamia genetics.
Seed-grown Pongamia can vary widely in fruiting and yield. Over more than two decades, BioEnergy Plantations Australia (BPA) has selected elite trees for consistent annual seed production, oil content, tree architecture and disease resistance.
Clonal propagation using vegetative cuttings aims to reproduce selected trees reliably at plantation scale, rather than relying on variable seedlings. PT NBI's limited exclusive propagation-facility licence provides access to BPA's selected genetics in Indonesia.
Published reference ranges are not a forecast or a guarantee of yields under Indonesian field conditions.
Elite Pongamia genetics in international industrial programmes.
PT NBI's Indonesia opportunity does not start from an isolated concept. International Pongamia and renewable-fuel initiatives demonstrate growing commercial interest and downstream demand.
Investancia / BPA · Paraguay
Investancia began its BPA genetics partnership in 2015 and extended it in 2021, citing selections for yield consistency, disease resistance, tree architecture and oil content, plus scalable clonal propagation. Its 2022 Chaco reforestation project received VCS validation and registration in November 2023. Approximately 120,000 ha and 50 million trees are programme targets, not confirmed plantings.

Jet Zero Australia / BPA
Jet Zero signed a planting-material partnership with BPA in October 2024; BPA elite saplings were used in its Queensland Pongamia trial described in August 2025. This is an agronomic feedstock trial alongside Jet Zero's wider SAF development activities.
Jet Zero / BPA trial announcementRio Tinto / BPA · Australia
Rio Tinto launched a Pongamia farming pilot in Queensland to evaluate its potential as a renewable-diesel feedstock. BPA reports a licence agreement with Rio Tinto.
Rio Tinto pilot announcement BPA: licensing relationshipsFrom Pongamia oil to renewable fuel markets
In February 2021, the companies announced a 30-year Pongamia oil supply agreement targeting 300,000 tonnes per year by 2030 for the planned Omega Green biorefinery in Paraguay.
ECB Group: 2021 oil supply announcementECB separately announced 2021 agreements for over 500 million litres per year of finished renewable fuels for Shell and over 1 billion litres total for bp.

The Nusa Tenggara Timur Development Opportunity
Nusa Tenggara Timur brings together the core building blocks for development: innovative Elite Pongamia technology, suitable land potential, ESG/NDC-aligned priorities, regional implementation potential and both local and international demand pathways.
Innovative Technology
BPA Elite Pongamia genetics accessed through PT NBI's limited exclusive propagation facility licence for Indonesia.
Suitable Land & Regional Alignment
Nusa Tenggara Timur offers relevant agro-climatic conditions and regional-development relevance for sustainable plantation implementation aligned with broader provincial priorities.
ESG & NDC Alignment
Degraded-land restoration, water-efficient irrigation, agroforestry, rural livelihoods and renewable feedstock development are integrated into the project concept.
Demand Pathways
Local fuel demand can create domestic market pathways, while Jet Zero Australia supports an international refining and SAF value-chain pathway.
Lembata Fisheries
Fuel supply constraints are presented as limiting development of Lembata's fishing sector. The project presentation estimates that an indicative 500-1,000 ha Elite Pongamia plantation could supply feedstock for fuel production sufficient to meet the sector's annual needs.
Jet Zero Australia supports development of Elite Pongamia plantations in Indonesia. The presentation identifies a 400,000 tonnes/year refinery supply requirement, equivalent to an indicative plantation scale of approximately 80,000 ha.
Jet Zero — official projectsMore than a plantation.
The development concept integrates productivity with land, water, biodiversity and community considerations.
A phased route from genetics to first harvest.
The project development framework sets out a staged pathway, with production planned after trees reach approximately five years of age and the first harvest begins.
